1877-P
Hub Combo: Type 2/2
The least difficult of the Philly mints, these are still scarce coins that command a respectable premium over the non-chopped date. All 1877 and 1878 issues feature the 2/2 combination.

Variety: FS-101 Doubled Die Obverse
Difficult but not impossible to find, there is easily identified doubling on stars 11-13 and minor doubling of the letters of the flag. In high grades, this variety may command a small premium but likely not commensurate with its rarity.

Variety: 77/77 Repunched Date
A slight repunching of the date is there for the astute collector. This little known variety is rarely seen and can also be identified via a notch on the underside of the first 7. The same doubling can be seen on some die marriages of the 77-CC DDR as well. There is likely not currently any variety premium.
