1876-P
Hub Combo: Type 1/1
Like most Philadelphia coins, the 76 is extremely scarce. There are three known chopmarked examples of the 1/1 combo. These will trade at a large premium to the non-chopmarked examples. Good luck!

Hub Combo: Type 1/2
This is the most “common” of the hub combos for the date. Ha! There are fewer than two dozen known straight graded examples. These will trade at a large premium to non-chopped coins.

Hub Combo: Type 2/2
The 2/2 is one of the great scarcities of the entire series, chopmarked or not. With chops, there are five known examples, all of which will likely trade at least at par with non-chopped examples, potentially at a premium depending on the buyer.

Variety: 4 Finger
This is an interesting and scarce variety with a 4th finger engraved on Liberty’s outstretched hand (like a type 2 obverse) but the flag still pointing left. It is sometimes referred to as the Transitional Obverse or the Type 1.5/2. This coin will trade at a large premium to the non-chopped examples simply due to the scarcity of the 76-P; it’s unknown if the variety will add any additional premium.

Variety: 1/1 With Period
This is a very scarce variety with a period after FINE on the reverse. The lettering on the reverse shows full, unbroken serifs. The reverse die failed quickly leading to its scarcity; most examples exhibit a large die crack under TRADE. There is one known chopmarked example of this variety. This coin will trade at a large premium to the non-chopped examples simply due to the scarcity of the 76-P; it’s unknown if the variety will add any additional premium.
